Are you tired of making $12 or less per hour with other security companies?

We are actively hiring experienced and dependable Security Officers to work at various sites in the metro Detroit area.

New hires for the new client and sites will be required to have CPR/First Aid/Narcan, De-escalation, and Situational Awareness Training, all of which will be provided ahead of the site(s).

Specific Duties and Essential Functions:

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Some sites will be concierge approach positions located inside the designated building
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or the presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter the property and monitor entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.

Requirements :

• Candidate must stay alert during shift work for periods of time with little outside stimuli and must have a good sense of judgment during difficult situations
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Background check will be required
• Must have a valid driver's license and your own reliable vehicle with auto insurance
• Requires the use of your own cell phone
• Must be able to stand for long periods and be able to list as much as 25 pounds as well as open/close heavy gates.

Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:

• Possess high school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a current and valid driver's license
• Type and length of specific experience required for certain sites
• Meaningful and verifiable work history.

Skills Required:

• Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
• Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Active listening skills
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
• Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
• Attention to detail.

Other:

• Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to work in the United States legally
• Must submit to a background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment, and education verifications
• If prior military must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Unarmed pays $15 and up, and rates for qualified and experienced armed security opportunities depend upon the level of responsibility and background/experience.

Bi-weekly pay via ADP direct deposit
