Overview

American Management Association International (“AMA”) is looking for a Marketing Strategist to join AMA’s Conference Center team based in New York City. The role will be responsible for developing, creating, and executing digital marketing strategies to generate leads, increase brand awareness, drive traffic, and boost bookings for all meeting locations in the U.S., i.e., New York, Atlanta, Arlington/D.C., and San Francisco. The Marketing Strategist will report to the VP of US Conference Centers, Events & Travel.

 

 

Responsibilities


 

Responsibilities include :

  • Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing plans, aligning with overall business goals.
  • Work with all AMA center managers/sales team in all locations to ensure marketing efforts promote business and increase revenue.
  • Develop engaging and informative content for various online channels, including website, blogs, social media, and email.
  • Planning, executing, and managing digital marketing campaigns across various channels (e.g., social media, email, paid advertising).
  • Tracking and analyzing campaign performance, identifying areas for improvement, and optimizing strategies based on data.
  • Manage and disseminate sales leads to appropriate members of the AMA sales team.
  • Manage the marketing budgets for all AMA conference centers, allocating resources effectively to achieve maximum ROI. Conduct regular budget reviews and recommend adjustments based on campaign performance and business priorities.
  • Oversee AMA center’s website updates, such as written copy, floor plans, photos for each location and overall theme. Ensure website SEO is optimized for user experience and search engine preferences.
  • Monitor online reviews and social media, addressing negative feedback and leveraging positive feedback to maintain a positive brand image.
  • Keep up to date with emerging industry trends, digital technologies (artificial intelligence) and share and disseminate to team members across all locations.
  • Occasional travel to Tradeshows, networking events, other AMA locations, etc.
  • Other related duties.

 

 

Essential Skills include: 

  • Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, and paid advertising.
  • Ability to analyze data, track performance, and make informed decisions and recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging with target audience and collaborating with teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to develop innovative and engaging marketing campaigns.
  • Understanding of event management, hospitality sales, venue management, guest experience management and the competitive landscape and industry trends.
  • Proficiency with relevant digital marketing tools, such as Google Analytics, social media management platforms, email marketing software, and website management software (Wordpress).

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field required.
  • 3+ years’ experience with a demonstrated expertise in professional services/hospitality marketing environment required.
  • Experience with B2B and B2C email marketing campaigns, as well as paid media campaigns and website reporting tools such as Google AdWords, and Google Analytics is required.
  • Knowledge of various social media advertising platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest, Yelp, Google, etc.)
  • Excellent networking and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work through challenges, seeking guidance when necessary.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Travel in accordance with business need
