Seasonal Ride Mechanic at Cedar Point summary:

The Seasonal Ride Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, lubricating, troubleshooting, and repairing amusement rides and devices. This role requires mechanical aptitude, experience with hand tools, and the ability to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. The position involves working at heights and operating machine shop equipment, ensuring safe and efficient ride operation.

Salary Details: $21.18 Per hour

Job Status/Type: Seasonal Union

Position Level: Entry-Mid level

Shift/Schedule Requirements: Ability to work various shifts and days including nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.

In this role, you will perform inspections, maintenance, lubrication, troubleshooting, and repair of all rides and devices.

• Responsible for all mechanical maintenance in regards to amusement rides and devices.
• Operate machine shop equipment.
• Assist other divisions and departments as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or GED.
• Must provide own hand tools.
• Must join Laborers Union.
• Good record and writing skills.
• Able to work at heights, including from catwalks, aerial lifts, crane baskets, scaffolding, and structure climb.
• Ability to demonstrate experience in electronic, electrical, and mechanical work.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand tools.
• Ability to follow manufacturer's manuals and blue prints.
• Willing to work various shifts and days with the a bility to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
• Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
• Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
