Position Location: This position is hybrid, combining regular in-person presence at our Washington, DC office with up to two remote workdays weekly.

The Senior Director of Digital Media will work with the Managing Director to lead digital media strategies, oversee visual design and multimedia production, and collaborate across functions. The role involves enhancing Brookings’ digital presence, maintaining brand consistency, and delivering innovative digital content that effectively communicates Brookings’ work and impact to policymakers and decision-makers. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a strong background in digital media, creative services, and team management within the policy arena, capable of driving innovation and excellence across platforms and designing/producing assets.

Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing comprehensive digital media strategies to boost online engagement.
- Managing design and multimedia projects from inception to completion.
- Setting project goals and metrics, monitoring performance, and refining strategies accordingly.
- Building relationships with stakeholders for collaboration.
- Producing visual and multimedia content, including videos, animations, and podcasts.
- Developing interactive data visualizations in collaboration with research teams.
- Ensuring brand consistency across all digital platforms.
- Leading and mentoring a cross-functional digital media team.
- Supporting internal strategic efforts and fostering a culture of innovation.

**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, Visual Arts, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years in digital media, with at least 5 in leadership, preferably in public policy or government.
- Proven success in digital strategy development and execution.
- Strong knowledge of web technologies, content management systems, and digital marketing platforms.
- Expertise in visual design, multimedia production, and UX design.
- Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
- Ability to translate complex ideas into compelling digital content.
- Commitment to nonpartisanship, scholar independence, civil debate, and inclusive policymaking.
