The Tax Manager will play a crucial role in providing high-quality tax services to our clients, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and offering strategic tax planning advice. Job Details

Tax Compliance:

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of tax filings in accordance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to stay updated on changes that may impact clients.

Tax Planning and Consulting:

• Assist clients in developing tax-efficient strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize financial outcomes.
• Provide proactive tax planning advice tailored to the unique needs and objectives of clients.
• Identify opportunities for tax savings and recommend appropriate tax strategies.

Client Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and personalized tax solutions.
• Address client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with other team members to deliver integrated solutions that meet client needs.
• Team Leadership and Development:
• Mentor and supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment conducive to learning and growth.
• Assist in the recruitment and training of new team members as needed.

Compliance and Quality Control:

• Ensure compliance with firm policies, procedures, and professional standards.
• Conduct quality reviews of tax workpapers and documentation to maintain accuracy and consistency.
• Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the implementation of best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax services.
• Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSystem FX Tax, CCH Axcess Tax) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to providing exceptional client service and building long-term relationships.
